Is Heartbreak going to be a game?

Yes! It will be a visual novel game with working trial segments. The game will be free and you can download it from itch.io when the Prologue and First chapter is ready.
The link will be provided on this website. As well as on my Tumblr account.

What programs are you using to make Heartbreak?

2D art: Photoshop

Can I contribute in making Heartbreak?

That is a very noble thought but I have to say no. :(
I believe all work should be compensated for and I do not have the money at the moment to pay for your work. Because of this, I mainly ask people I know personally and even then, I try to find ways to pay back for their efforts.

Will there be voice acting?

No for the same reason above.

Although if enough voice actors show interest in the project after the first chapter has been released, we may consider making a small voice casting call.

Can I aid the project by donating money?

Sadly, no.

I have to be very adamant that this project has not gotten any financial help since it's a fan game.
Otherwise, we might run into legal issues as I do not own the rights to the Danganronpa franchise and I would be heartbroken (pun fully intended) if this project gets shut down by Spike Chunsoft.

You started this in 2018. Why is it taking so long?

Life.
I have been juggling between making Heartbreak, my thesis, freelancing, and working.
But now that I have graduated, the project should advance way faster.

The setting of the game being a love hotel sounds pretty rancid... Is it going to be explicit?

Oh, definitely not.
While the writing includes some suggestive jokes, it isn't anywhere near the implications V3 had. Fanservice is also kept to the bare minimum, keeping the cast in character.

What is the rating going to be?

While it is not explicit, the game is still catered towards a mature audience. This is due to the heavy topics the plot revolves around as well as some of the character deaths are quite gruesome.
While these heavy topics are handled with the utmost respect they deserve, a list of content warnings will be provided for optional viewing on the game's main menu.
